SPANISH LAKE, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision n Spanish Lake Thursday morning.

According to police, two vehicles were involved in a wreck on Highway 367  near the Redman Avenue intersection just before 6 a.m..

Police said as those drivers got out to check the damage to their vehicles, they were struck by a third vehicle.

That vehicle then hit another car.

Two ambulances responded to the scene to transport the drivers involved in the initial accident.

Officials said both suffered serious injuries.

Police did not say if the driver or any passengers in the third and fourth car were injured.

The southbound lanes of Highway 367 between Redman Avenue and Parker Road were closed for about an hour while emergency crews cleared the wreckage. They have since reopened.
