ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A rollover accident that killed a man on northbound Interstate 270 had traffic backed up for miles Friday morning.
Police said a woman was driving on Insterstate 270 between Dougherty Ferry and Manchester around 3 a.m. when she changed lanes because of construction.
Authorities said the woman, 41, then hit the back of a vehicle. That vehicle went across all lanes before striking a rock bluff and overturning. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Ronald Schuh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the woman's vehicle traveled across several lanes and hit a truck driven by a MoDOT contractor. She then hit the median.
According to reports, I-270 traffic was at a stand still while crews worked to clear the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
