WEST ALTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Emergency crews responded to an accident in St. Charles County after a car and a tractor-trailer collided Tuesday morning.
Highway Patrol officials said the accident happened around 10:40 a.m. along Highway 67 near the intersection of Highway 94 in West Alton, Missouri.
Police report a car traveling north on Highway 67 impacted the rear of a semi trailer. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
There’s no word on injuries at this time, but Arch Helicopter was requested at the scene a short time after emergency crews arrived.
Traffic on Highway 67 was backed up to the Lewis Bridge while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
