(KMOV.com) -- All westbound lanes of Interstate 64 near Lake St. Louis Boulevard have been reopened following an earlier accident involving a semi-truck Monday morning.
 
Emergency crews were forced to shut down the westbound lanes of I-64/Highway 40 between Lake St. Louis Boulevard and Prospect Road due to the accdient.  According to reports, a semi-truck left the road and struck a guardrail.  Investigators are looking into the cause of the accident and officials did not say if they thought it was weather related.
 
It took emergency crews a couple hours to clear the wreckage.  At this time, it is unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured.
