Investigators identify white powder found in downtown building
10:15 AM CDT on Friday, August 8, 2008
(KMOV) -- There has been another scare in our area involving an envelope full of white powder.
The U.S. Bank building in downtown St. Louis was evacuated late Thursday night.
About two dozen people were forced to leave the building.
Police tell News 4 that the mysterious powder was actually salt and pepper.
No word yet on where the mixture came from.
This is similar to another case last week where an envelope with white powder was found in a bank building in south St. Louis County.
