Police oppose Wash U. students naked bike ride
ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – The World Naked Bike Ride made its way to St. Louis. Organizers of the event say it wasn’t about being scantily clad, but creating awareness about the world’s dependence on oil.
Cyclists on Saturday came from all over the area to ride in Tower Grove Park.
St. Louis police met with event organizers earlier this week and urged them to cover up or risk violating the city’s ordinance banning lewd and indecent conduct. Despite the warning, many cyclists chose to bare all for the bike ride.
