(KMOV) – The U. S. Geological Service confirms that a strong aftershock shook the Midwest Friday afternoon.  The 3.7 tremor hit at 12:31 and was centered just outside of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and about 207 miles from St. Louis.

This is the same area that the big 5.2 quake originated a week ago.

Moments after the latest tremor struck, calls started rolling into the News 4 newsroom.  Viewers reported windows and shelves shaking.

Numerous aftershocks have been happening over the past week; however most were too small to notice.

So… did you feel it?

Woke from a dream and thought I was still in it.

I was in my kithcen and thought it was a quake but just in sure I opened the patio door and listened to see if it was a train down in Valley Park. I live a mile or so from Hwy 141 and the Meramec River and the train. No train, so I turn on the tv but no news at 12:30 or 12:45 so I thought "Which channel has that seimagraph in it's studio? I wonder if they have it available to view on the internet?"

Just sitting down to my favorite soap and the table next to me moved a few seconds. It was mild compared to the 5.2 shock, so I wasn't sure what happened. Imperial, MO

glad you informed me about the aftershock i thought it was the salad that i ate at dinner last night.

The only quake I felt was last Friday mornings 4.5 aftershock at 10:15AM. I was in the US Bank tower!

No one in my building at SLU felt it.

I didnt feel it, but i heard it. I was sitting in class and i thought it was thunder so i got on and looked at the radar and saw a storm to the south so i dismissed it, then saw the headline about the aftershock.

I'm in a high rise building downtown and did not feel the 12:30 aftershock. However about 2:30-3 I felt our floor shake, not sure what it was.

Rain with thunder was moving through at the time in Clayton (at least thats what I thought it was)

I live in Collinsville, IL. I thought it was the washer. My glass bookshelf was rattling.

I haven't felt a tremor yet.

HI ,my name is amber tomes,im 12, i was sitting on my bed after school and my bed starting shaking.i yelled at my mom are we having another earthquake.

I didn't feel it but I heard noise and thought it was thunder or rain.

There was another tremor about 50 minutes ago.

Didn't feel anything here, but we heard a bang. Not sure if it was realted to the earthquake.

Granite City, IL - Sitting at my computer with my elbow propped on the desk,chin in my hand, reading something on the monitor and everything shook.

i work in clayton mo and i felt it

I work in Clayton on the 8th floor of an office building. I didn't feel a thing!

I work in dowtown and no one in my office felt anything.

I felt a little dizzy when I was sitting outside after lunch my lunch was @ 13:30 and I was outside aboiut 12:33 or so

I was driving at that time.

This comes from Edwardsville Illinois, we did indeed feel the eart shake rattle and roll at 12:30PM this afternoon.

Felt it at work in Crestwood!

Here in Creve Coeur at City Place 3 my monitor started shaking and I could feel the floor moving.

Not real sure, I thought it was thunder with the upcoming rain!

at 270- and manchester my building rumbled and my co workers thought it was an accident on 270

Yes I felt the earth move but it dident fell as big as the last week's quake. Odin ILL.

I was on lunch at work and decided to sit in the car and eat for a little quiet time and around 12:30 The car began to shake. I thought it may have been an aftershock but I was not sure.
