The child, only five years-old, has battled cancer for three years, and has received many treatments at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Charles Lattier's mother says he was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor cancer at age two, and has undergone three surgeries and numerous chemotherapy treatments.

Even with intense chemo, Lattier's cancer has returned four times.

The boy is frequented with pain, and a large dose of daily medications.

Doctors say a new tumor pressing against Lattier's liver has tripled in size since January, and is in-operable.

Lattier and his family have just returned from a Make-A-Wish trip to Florida, and relatives are holding a fundraiser for the family this week.

The boy's mother remains optimistic and has taken a leave of absence from work to care for her son.

Doctors have already removed one of Lattier's kidneys because of the cancer.
