(KMOV) -- China is changing the rules on who can adopt children from their country.

New rules will not allow people who are single, over 50-years-old, are obese, or have an infectious disease to adopt Chinese children.
Adoption agencies say it's not a shortage of children to adopt, but the over-popularity of China.
