I don't mind the snow but I do mind the fact that Ameren can not do their job - Please bring back Illinois Power. We never had this problem with Illinois Power - even when the storms were severe. IP worked all year with a crew, not just 3 linemen. I'm not blaming the employees - lets get rid of Ameren management and start all over.
I live in Ste Gen and work in Arnold.
50 mile drives like this are fun and exciting!
Doing donuts in the parking lot is fun!
Just remember you dont stop on hills when it's like this.
I'm ready for the snow, but I'm not ready for all this ice caused by the bizzare climate situation caused by the wacky environment we now have thanks to the Republicans. Blame Republicans for the ice? Sure, why not? They are against everything environmental and this is largely why we get the strange weather we get nowadays. It's called Global Warming and Al Gore knows a little bit about it and is trying to tell us. Of course, Georgy Bush and his Republican followers aren't listening, so enjoy your damaged trees and shrubs caused by the ice!
Wow, what a beautiful day it's been . ..yes it's been cold w/o power but the sun shining on the icy bare tree branches is natures pure beauty!!!!

Bring it on baby!!!! We have not had a winter here in years! That is why we live in the Midwest...it is just that St. Louisians do not know how to drive in winter. PERIOD!
It's about time! There was no traffic to worry about while driving to work. It was great!
A big snow makes me happy. It brings a softness to the land around you. It gets quiet, and takes you back to your childhood. Yes, it's a pain to travel in but don't fight it. Stay home with your kids. Bake cookies, snuggle up with those you love, pop some popcorn and watch White Christmas or one of the other classics. When the temp. starts to warm a bit you can build a snowman, help a neighbor, make some hot chocolate to share. Enjoy living in Missoui.
I haven't seen snow like this since I was in college in Iowa! I am glad to be home to enjoy!

I was about 7 when that huge snow storm hit us, and that is one of my most cherished childhood memories. I honestly hope we get a huge storm like that so my children can experience that. Build an igloo that everyone can crawl into and build forts for snowball fights. As far as being prepared...we knew a storm was coming several days ago so this wasn't exactly a surprise.
I am from Chicago and my husband is from Nebraska. We don't know what the big deal is!
I hope it snows 2 feet! It is so beautiful and what better way to get in the Christmas spirit! Besides, my kids are aching for a snow day!!
I have fudge to keep in my car, so I'm ready!!
I can't wait...I'm hitting the first empty parking lot I see and I'm going to play! Seriously, it's good practice to slide around in an empty parking lot. Gets you used to handling your car when you really need to.
