(KMOV) -- A Missouri couple says they got a lot less than they paid for after doing some holiday shopping.
The Rittenberg family was anxious to open up the box containing their new digital video camera. They didn’t expect to get something for dinner instead.
Inside the box, what was supposed to be a pricey new camera, was a jar of Classico's Spicy Red Pepper Sauce.
Someone made a clever switch on a very expensive Sony camera that Jim Rittenberg bought at the Best Buy in Ellisville over the Thanksgiving weekend for more than $1,300.
The jar of sauce, sealed inside of the box, is about the same size and weight of the camera.

The Rittenberg's got an unpleasant surprise when opening what was supposed to be a digital camera.
A spokesperson at Best Buy told News 4 that they are investigating it, and working on finding a solution.
Sony believed the family’s story and is now sending them a new camera.
Sony also wants the jar of sauce so they can try and find out what happened.
Ellisville police are also investigating after the Rittenbergs filed a report.
Heinz Corporation, the makers of Classico sauce are just as puzzled as everyone.
They say that Classico is a good sauce, but it's certainly not worth that amount of money.
