St. Louis (KMOV) – There were tense moments Thursday afternoon when
something on the roof of the Plaza Square apartment building caught fire.

The three alarm blaze sent a thick black column of smoke pouring from
the top of the apartment building on 15th Street.
The building was evacuated and there were no reports of injuries.
Firefighters say the blaze was confined to the roof, of the 14-story
apartment building.
Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the flames.
The fire chief said wood and other materials on the roof were on fire,
but they are still trying to determine what caused the blaze.
The blaze is under investigation.
