Light snow moves through the area
09:32 PM CST on Wednesday, December 3, 2008
(KMOV) -- Wednesday's weather forecast brings big changes to Missouri and Illinois.
A cold front will march across the St. Louis area bringing a chance of rain and snow with it.
Once that front passes by, colder air will pour into the bi-state and some snow may mix in with the rain possibly as early as the evening commute.
Most of the St. Louis area will see the rain taper and briefly mix with some light snow Wednesday night just before the moisture moves out, leaving a few flurries.
Because this is expected to be a brief snow and because pavement temperatures will be above freezing, little to no accumulation is expected.
If any accumulation does occur, it will be less than an inch and mainly on grassy spots.
Areas north of the St. Louis metro-area have a better chance for accumulation.
