ST. LOUIS (KMOV/AP) – St. Louis County police said they have an 18-year-old man in custody, after being called to a Riverview home where a baby was found dead with multiple injuries.

Sgt. Tracy Panus said police responded to the 300 block of Chambers in the City of Riverview early Thursday morning.

Panus said Anthony O’Neal, 18, of the 500 block of Leeton in Riverview, was charged on Friday with murder in the first-degree and is being held on $250,000 cash only bond.

The baby's mother was not home at the time the 14-month-old died, but was present when police arrived, according to Panus.

Panus said the man's relationship to the victim was not immediately clear.
