ST. LOUIS (AP) -- If you've got a ticket to next Tuesday's baseball All-Star Game in St. Louis, you're in luck.
But city officials say they've been working to make sure that even people who don't get into Busch Stadium will have a good time -- and a safe one. Organizers were scheduled Wednesday to unveil a public safety plan they've been developing for months.
Special activities begin Friday, including a five-day FanFest at the America's Center featuring dozens of former baseball players. There's also a benefit concert with Sheryl Crow and Elvis Costello on Saturday night under the Gateway Arch.
The city's special events executive, Ann Chance, says St. Louis is sprucing up to be in the spotlight, but says everybody does that when they've got company coming.
