Man arrested for Granite City robberies

(KMOV) – Granite City Police have arrested a man accused of committing two armed robberies in the past week.

Robert Baker was arrested late Friday evening for his alleged role in robbing Insurance Express on Nameoki Road Wednesday and Illinois Title Loan on Nameoki Road Thursday.  In both incidents Baker displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.    

Baker is charged with two counts of armed robbery. 

His bond has been set at $500,000.

No one was hurt in either incident.
