FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The Ferguson Police Department is still searching for the person who shot and killed two people inside a home on Halpin Drive Saturday morning.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Jeannie Miller and 28-year-old Eric John died from gunshot wounds after the suspect broke into the home. Miller's family said she left behind three daughters.

Sonya Bozeman was at work when she was told what had happened Saturday morning.

"I'll never see her again, [this] ripped a big hole in everybody, I never expected this," Bozeman said.

Assistant Police Chief Frank McCall with the Ferguson Police Department said they are still searching for 26-year-old Darrick Barber. While he is not a suspect, he is a person of interest and wanted for questioning.

"We're hoping for assistance from the community," McCall said.

Records show Miller filed a restraining order against Barber in May. Officers said they are familiar with Barber. Court documents show he was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for drug, assault and burglary charges nearly 30 years ago. If you have any information you are urged to call the Ferguson Police Department (314) 522-3100 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-371-8477.

If you'd like to help Miller's family, a GoFundMe account has been created to help with funeral expenses.
