Suspect accused of throwing woman down stairs, kidnapping her

UNION, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 20-year-old man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman in Franklin County.

Around 3 a.m. on July 11, authorities in Franklin County were called to the 10 block of Woodland Oaks after a witness reported seeing the suspect assault and take a 17-year-old without her will. Officials said the suspect, Daniel Arnold, and the victim were known to one another.

According to authorities, Arnold choked the woman and threw her down the steps of an apartment complex.

When an officer called Arnold regarding what the witness saw, the suspect went to the Union Police Department and was questioned. He also brought the victim with him to the police department and denied injuring her.

Arnold, of Robertsville, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and domestic assault.
