The DEA's newest list of drug slang includes some pretty unusual terms for marijuana

According to the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency, “Yellow Submarine” isn’t just a Beatles song.

Most people are familiar with the terms “pot” and “weed" to refer to marijuana. but the DEA’s new report includes dozens of more terms used to refer to the drug.

The DEA released a report this month of slang terms and code words commonly used to refer to street drugs. Of the drugs included in the report, marijuana had one of the more extensive and unusual lists of nicknames.

From foods like “Popcorn” and “Blue Cheese” to household items like “Gorilla Glue” and “Shoes,” the list includes many terms that most people would not associate with the drug.

Other unusual terms that made the list were “Smoochy Woochy Poochy” and “Mowing the Lawn.”
