COLUMBIA, Ill. (KMOV.com) – The Columbia, Illinois Police Department is asking for help identifying a person of interest who got into a truck with a “Clean Money” decal on the back after giving a counterfeit bill to a cashier.

According to police, the person of interest gave a counterfeit $20 bill to the cashier at a business in the Columbia Center development on July 8.

After giving the cashier the bill, the person got into a red pickup truck that had a yellow decal on the tailgate advertising “Clean Money.”

The police department said they want to find out where the person received the counterfeit money. They are also asking other businesses to inspect their money.
