BALLWIN, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Many summer activities continue on despite the extremely hot temperatures outside. Even under a heat warning, the Ballwin Bulls 9U Baseball team held practice. However, coaches set some new rules to make sure the players were staying safe and cool.

"Today we're probably going to take more breaks, we'll do water every 15 minutes," said Coach Matt Haddox. "We let the parents know to bring more water today and we brought an ice bucket for towels for any kid that gets a little overheated and just telling the kids to let us know if you're hot."

News 4 caught these 9-year-old players chugging water and dumping it on their heads, but they were happy they could still be out there playing ball at Vlasis Park.
