EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

A 44-year-old East St. Louis woman is being charged with home invasion after police say she broke into a home.

On May 16, 2018, Troy Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Meadow Dr. for a disturbance. While talking to the victims, officers discovered Tracey Stevenson forced her way into a home without permission.

Once inside the residence, Stevenson used a blunt object to strike a person inside the residence causing an injury. During the altercation, Stevenson ran from the area and was later found by Troy, Illinois officers.

A felony warrant was issued to Stevenson for Home Invasion. She is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Madison County Jail.
