GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

A man and a teen were charged with armed robbery Wednesday after police said they entered a Granite City 7-11 with guns and demanded money.

Andre D. King, 20, and a 17-year-old male were charged with armed robbery by the Madison County States' Attorneys' Office. The teen was charged and petitioned in the Juvenile Court System.

Granite City officers responded to a call at the 7-11 on May 29.

When officers arrived, the store clerk told them two black male suspects wearing white tee shirts over their faces entered the store with firearms. They removed an unknown amount of money from the cash register before leaving. No one was injured.

The Granite City PD was able to identify and arrest both King and the juvenile with the cooperation of several other police departments.

The bail for King is set at 500,000 dollars.

Both King and the teen are in the custody of the St. Louis City Police and are awaiting extradition to the Madison County Jail in Edwardsville, Ill.
