FARMINGTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A citywide power outage is impacting residents in Farmington Tuesday morning.

Around 6:30 A.M., St. Francois County dispatch told News 4 multiple Ameren substations are down. The reason they are down is currently unknown.

There were reportedly 3,500 Ameren customers without power in the area when the electric first went out. As of 7:15 a.m, Ameren reported 10 customers remained without power.

The City of Farmington also has their own electric but it is currently unknown how many customers under their grid are without power. Ameren officials would only tell News 4 there are a lot of people out and the city asked for their help to restore it.

An employee of the Parkland Health Center said they were using regular power as of 7 a.m.

No other information has been released.
