Woman, 62, charged in Alton double stabbing

ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

Prosecutors charged a 62-year-old woman Monday in connection to a double stabbing in Alton, Illinois. 

Just after 5 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Ridge Street Sunday for a domestic disturbance. Officers found a Nicholas Bost, 40, and  Nancy Williams, 48, suffering from serious stab wounds upon arrival. 

According to investigators, Bost was stabbed in the back and groin area while Williams was sliced in the stomach with a knife by the suspect, later identified Lettie Rosenthall. 

Both victims were transported to a local hospital.

Later that evening, police located Rosenthall in the 100 block of East 14th Street in Alton. Rosenthall was taken into custody without incident. 

Rosenthall was charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of home invasion, one count of aggravated domestic battery and one count of aggravated battery. 

Rosenthall's bail is set at $500,000.
