"Step Up for Down Syndrome" walk to take place in Forest Park

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Thousands of people are expected to walk through forest park to help raise money to fight Down syndrome Sunday.

The "Step Up for Down Syndrome" event starts at the upper Muny parking lot at 9 a.m. 

There will be food, games, crafts, even a rock climbing wall.

There will also be a one-mile walk, which begins at 10 a.m.

It's all to raise money for people with Down syndrome.

Currently, there are more than 1,800 children and adults with the genetic disorder, in the St. Louis area.
