ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A 43-year-old man has been charged with multiple felonies after a man was shot multiple times Monday night, police say.

Joey Panell Foster has been charged with one count of assault, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Officers received a call for a shooting around 6:30 p.m. on Memorial Day, and discovered a man his 30s  in the 3000 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive who was suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The man was conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital, but is in critical condition and unstable.

A 43-year-old male suspect was taken into custody, and given the victim’s condition, homicide detectives took over the case.

Police have not released any information about what led up to the shooting.

This investigation is ongoing.
