ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – North County drivers should brace for lane closures on Interstate 270.

MoDOT crews will be doing construction on the Fee Fee Bridge over the summer, which will result in lane closures around-the-clock on the interstate. The bridge is right under the highway between Dorsett and Interstate 70.

During construction, phase one, there will only be three southbound lanes open from Interstate 70 to Dorsett. Later in the summer, after those lanes reopen, only three northbound lanes will be open. In addition, there will be a two-week closure of the northbound Interstate 270 ramp to Dorsett.

MoDOT is advising drivers to plan for at least a 30-minute delay during the morning and evening rush hours.

Construction is expected to last through July.
