ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Thousands of Boy Scouts laid flags at the 150,000 graves at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery ahead of Memorial Day.

The Boy Scouts also took part in the 69th annual ‘Memorial Day Good turn,’ which is when they marched to the main flagpole and lowered the American flag to half-mast.

“It’s important to respect their graves because they’ve laid down everything for us, so for us to disrespect them would be devastating,” said Asher Agers.
