U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill was in St. Louis Friday and spoke publicly about the investigation into Governor Eric Greitens.

McCaskill is a former prosecutor and one of her big takeaways this week was when committee members reread the eight-hour deposition from the woman who Greitens had an affair with.

"It's unfortunate in many ways that deposition became so public. Because in many instances, the vast majority of what is deposed in those cases is not admissible and not relevant. So they’re never part of the public record,” she said. “It’s another reminder why people need to keep in mind why so many women don’t come forward after they have endured an experience where potential criminal charges are involved.”
