ST. LOUIS (AP) - Law enforcement authorities say two children were injured by gunfire in separate shootings in the St. Louis area.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the shootings Thursday night were 30 minutes apart, one in the city and one in north St. Louis County.
In the first shooting, an 8-year-old girl's leg was grazed by a bullet during a drive-by shooting in Moline Acres. She was reported in stable condition.
Police say someone in a white car fired six or seven shots at the home and a bullet bounced off a wall and hit the girl.
A short time later, a shooting in St. Louis left a 6-year-old child and a man in his late 20s critically injured. Police say both victims are expected to survive.
Police released no additional details on that shooting.
