HOUSE SPRINGS (KMOV.com) -

For the third time this year, thieves stole bags of clothes from a donation bin for the Peace by Piece resale shop in House Springs.

A surveillance camera recorded the latest theft on Friday evening at 6:57 p.m.

Store director Pat Weiss told News 4, "Yes it is aggravating."

The store is located on the property of Faith Community Church in the 4800 block of Scotsdale, and is one of the church's ministries.

In February, a thief in a pickup stole ten bags of clothes but the theft happened at night and the surveillance video was dark. The most recent theft happened during daylight hours and the surveillance video clearly shows a burgundy van pull up and a man climbing into the bin.

In the video, it appears there are two accomplices in the van, one of which helps the man load bags of clothes into the van before all three drive away.

Money from the sale of clothes is used to buy toys for needy children at Christmas and to buy clothes and supplies for children before they go back to school.

Weiss said she feels frustrated by the theft but also compassion for the thieves.

"I'm also saddened that their life is where they have to do that. That they have to climb inside a donation box to try to fulfill whatever need they have."

If the thieves in the latest surveillance video can be identified, she said she wants to reach out to them and get them any assistance they might need.
