Police in Missouri and Illinois are stepping up efforts to solve local missing persons cases.

Law enforcement officials hosted their 1st annual Missing Person Day event at the Jennings State Office Building and at St. Clair Square in Illinois.

Families were given the option to file a report on a missing loved one or update an existing report with new information for investigators.
