ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO -

A plan to redevelop the shuttered Jamestown Mall in north St. Louis County appears to be moving forward.

A spokesperson with Steve Stenger's office confirms one developer submitted a plan to redevelop the site, and that developer has been selected to move forward.

Officials are not disclosing the name of the developer, or what will be built on the site.

The mall has been closed for several years and is in a current state of decay.

Barriers block drivers from entering the property.

Dead trees litter the parking lot in front of the former Jamestown 14 Cine.

The former Dillards store is covered in vines, and some of the upper floor windows are shattered.

The front entrance is boarded up.

News 4 will continue to follow new developments about the future of the former Jamestown Mall.
