Significant backup on I-70 in Montgomery County following tractor trailer crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A tractor-trailer crash is causing a significant backup on westbound Interstate 70 in Montgomery County, Missouri. 

The crash closed the westbound lanes at mile marker 168 around 11:15 a.m. Monday. One lane reopened to traffic around 11:40 a.m.

MoDOT reports traffic is backed up significantly in the area. Drivers are being urged to seek an alternate route.

It is unknown when all the lanes will reopen.

Montgomery County is located about 80 miles west of St. Louis City.
