A high school student from Roxana, Illinois is showing us all the meaning of giving back and supporting your community.

Student Sarah Floyd got an idea to weave plastic bags into mats for the homeless to sleep on. The concept from Floyd's idea stemmed from a research paper assignment.

The topic was to explain what could students do to change something in their community.

"Whenever we go to games in St. Louis and see homeless people that just means a lot to me because I just wouldn't be able to live like that," said Floyd.

The high schooler has recruited her friends, family and church members to help with her 'movement'.

The group has made 15 sleeping mats and have partnered with Churches on the Streets to distribute them.
