Pair charged in connection with burglarizing a Belleville storage unit

BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged two suspects in connection to a burglary in Belleville.

At 11 p.m., a deputy on patrol near storage facility in the 1100 block of Centreville Ave Thursday noticed suspicious activity near an open unit and began investigating. 

After investigating the scene, the deputy discovered Ronald Simpkins and Michelle Magac allegedly burglarizing a storage unit. The pair was taken into custody.

Simplins, 51, and Magac, 49, were each charged with one count of burglary. 

Both suspects are being held at the  St. Clair County jail with a $30,000 bond each.
