As the weather warms, kids are looking for more and more opportunities to get outside.
Students at Pattonville High School are doing just that as part of their applied science and technology class.
The students designed, gathered funding for and built a greenhouse and garden. The project is part of the school’s new focus on STEM education.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Food from the garden will be used for the school’s Operation Backpack program that provides school families with healthy food options.
