O'FALLON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

O’Fallon Police have arrested a 27-year-old who allegedly stabbed a woman in O’Fallon Tuesday.

Just past 8:30 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a woman stabbed. Police said a 28-year-old woman was transported to the hospital by friends after allegedly being stabbed by Faleniko Isaia at a residence in the 300 block of Savannah Garden Dr.

The woman had surgery for her injuries but is listed in stable condition, according to authorities.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office later charged Isaia, 27, with one count of domestic assault in the second degree.

He is held on a $10,000 bond.
