SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Businesses and home owners in South St. Louis have a new neighbor.

Habitat for Humanity St. Louis opened its new headquarters at South Grand Ave and Chippewa Street in the Dutchtown neighborhood. The non-profit group will house the construction warehouse and administrative offices.

The location will also house the Habitat Restore, donation center that accepts new and gently used furniture, appliances , home accessories and building materials.

Volunteers lent a hand with building the new facility.

"We acquired building at the end of November and started work on December first. So to be standing here a short 5 months later with the beauty that surrounds us is really wonderful," said Habitat for Humanity CEO Kimberly McKinney.

The organization has a second restore location in Des Peres.

Anyone wishing to make donations can visit any center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Tuesday through Sunday.
