ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The day after a man was fatally shot at Ballpark Village, Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III said security protocols are being evaluated.

Corey Hall, 38, from Spanish Lake, was shot and killed on the rooftop around 8:00 p.m. Sunday during a private event. Police said an argument started and someone pulled out a gun and began firing shots.

Hall and a 36-year-old man were both struck. He was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

DeWitt said security protocols are being re-evaluated at Ballpark Village and Busch Stadium. He said the team is meeting with those who help run Ballpark Village on what to do next.

“Anytime something like this happens, you always step back and re-evaluate,” said DeWitt. “Safety for our guests is the most important thing.”

DeWitt said there were no metal detectors at Ballpark Village on Sunday and said whether or not metal detectors will be used in the future is something that will be looked at.

Metal detectors are used at Busch Stadium.
