ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

On Tuesday, the guys from the Velocity reality TV show “Speed is the New Black” joined the St. Louis Blues for a special surprise.

The Carter Family got their 1957 Chevy Nomad customized as part of the TV show that is based in St. Louis. The Carter’s vintage car will be part of an upcoming episode of the show.

The car was revealed to the Carter family at Scottrade Center because of the families love for hockey. Both of their sons play hockey and received hockey bags, jerseys and sticks from the Blues as part of the surprise. Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo and Blues legend Bobby Plager presented the gifts to the Carter family.
