ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Police in St. Louis City are looking for the person who fired shots towards officers in north St. Louis overnight.

Evidence technicians were called to the area of Interstate 70 at Union Boulevard around 12:50 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report that shots were fired at officers.

A News 4 photographer at the scene noted there were several evidence markers on the ground. There was also crime scene tape spotted at a nearby gas station.

Police told News 4 no one was struck by the shots that were fired.

Officials have not released any further details about the incident.
