NORTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A dog had its head stuck in a sewer pipe in North St. Louis Friday.

The St. Louis Fire Department said on Twitter the dog was found near Marnice Pl. and Labadie Ave. in the Greater Ville neighborhood.

"Not sure what was inside this sewer pipe that lured this puppy, but it wasn’t coming off easily," the department's tweet read.

Fortunately, the fire department was able to safely remove the dog's head out of the pipe.
