ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A second teenager has died as a result of injuries sustained during a crash in north St. Louis’ Baden neighborhood.

The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 11 p.m. Thursday, April 19 near the intersection of Halls Ferry and McLaran. According to police, a 2014 Hyundai Elentra was traveling at a high rate of speed when it attempted to make a sharp left turn and collided head-on with a 2002 Lincoln Navigator. 

Armani Hester, 17, of the 6900 block of Willow Wood Dr. in North St. Louis County, was pronounced dead at the crash scene. He was the front-seat passenger in the Hyundai.

A second teenager, 16-year-old Demerra Randolph, succumbed to her injuries on April 23. She was in the rear seat of the Hyundai.

The 21-year-old driver of the Hyundai was taken to the hospital and listed in critical, unstable condition. The second rear-seat passenger in the Hyundai and the driver of the Lincoln, a 43-year-old man, were taken to the hospital for treatment in stable condition.

Accident reconstruction is handling the investigation.
