(Meredith) – A new study released by WalletHub has discovered the fattest cities in America. Last year, one of their studies revealed which states were the fattest, but this year, they’ve gone one step further, narrowing down which cities in each state are the healthiest and the least healthy.
According to the study, 40 percent of the U.S. population 15 years old and older is obese. Not only that, but obesity-related medical treatment costs around $316 billion annually. Productivity at work also suffers due to obesity-related absenteeism, which costs the U.S. more than $8.6 billion a year.

To figure out which cities are the fattest, WalletHub “compared 100 of the most populated U.S. metro areas across three key dimensions,” including:
Obesity and Overweight
Food and Fitness
