COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

For the first time since 2013, the Missouri Tigers will be a part of "March Madness."

Missouri was announced the No. 8 seed and will take on Florida State in their first tournament game in Nashville Friday.

The Tigers gathered at the Mizzou arena in Columbia Saturday afternoon to see if they would be named the 'at large' team. Jordan Barnett was noticeably absent after being arrested Saturday night on a DUI charge.

The winner of that game will face No. 1 seed Xavier University.

Missouri last played Florida State in 1980, where the Tigers fell short, 68-64.
