Students back in class after possible bomb threat at St. Louis middle school

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A possible bomb threat forced an evacuation of a St. Louis Public School Friday morning.

St. Louis Police said officers were notified of the possible threat to Compton-Drew Middle School on Oakland Avenue around 10:30 a.m. According to officers, school administrators made the decision to evacuate students prior to their arrival.

After officers searched the building, students were allowed to return to class. 

School officials have not released any information about where the threat came from but said they must take these incidents seriously.
