LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A 26-year-old man allegedly abducted his toddler son and shot his neighbor after a heated argument involving the mother of his child.
Police "safely located" the 2-year-old boy, identified as Kuwait Abdul-Rahim, following the apparent domestic dispute Tuesday night in West Las Vegas.
The boy's father, Amir Abdul-Rahim, arrived at the apartment just before 10 p.m. and began arguing with the child's mother outside her front door, according to police. A neighbor intervened, and the suspect reportedly shot him multiple times.
The neighbor was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive his injuries.
Abdul-Rahim fled the scene with his toddler in a dark colored SUV. Although investigators eventually found the child, his father is still on the loose.
Police said Abdul-Rahim is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
