ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) sent out an alert after an employee had a gun flourished at her Tuesday.
The university said the worker, who is a custodian at the school through an outside firm, was approached by her ex-husband around 10:50 a.m. After approaching her, the ex-husband allegedly flourished a handgun at her and then left westbound on Natural Bridge from UMSL.
After the incident occurred, the university sent an email to students and employees alerting them to what happened.
In the email, the university said the ex-husband, identified as 41-year-old Ishmael Hargrove, was driving a 2017 purple and silver Dodge Journey with the license plate MP3-U1J. He was last seen wearing a gray V-neck t-shirt with black stripes. He is reportedly armed with a black handgun.
The university said anyone with safety concerns or who sees the suspect on campus should contact Campus Police at 314-516-5155.
